Makkah 9th Auguts 2008. My 4th times Umrah by Sumantri. Alhamdulillah wa syukurillah my Umrah experienc has always diferent from one into another experience this 4th times Umrah experience was a special. Friday 8th August at 12.00 late night I went down to lobby completed with Ihram cloths talked and asked Hattan hotel security the taxi price from Makkah to Madinah. He offered my transportation from Madinah to Makkah, he said i am off tomorrow if you want i can drive you from Madinah to Makkah. Then I say yes!! Hattan drive me Makkah he wait for me when i performed Umrah but unfortunetly when we come back the car has gone. Asked police where to checked to find a car and he mentioned the place about 7 km from Makkah. We went there by taxi and right car was there. Its require to pay SR 50 to release the car. Hattan was very good man with this situation he don't look panic or nervous. He continue drive me back to Madinah with smile. Thank you hattan a few good man like you

Sumantri Ideation - Director of Rooms with driver iqamah

Madinah Al Munawarah, 8 August 2008, Director of Rooms with driver iqamah by Sumantri. Iqamah means residence permit, only with iqamah you can stay at the Kingdom of Saudi legally. One of my experience to work in Saudi is using driver visa with Director title. Is big question marked right! ? caused of this i can not bring my wife, you can also say your opinion and perspective in this matter. Working legally with illegal legal document. WOW this is only can be happen here in Saudi Arabia. Anyway the following process are require to get your Iqamah.

1. Valid passport must be with working visa
2. A week before expired of your working visa than will process of iqamah.
3. Medical check up. I do this medical check up at Madinah Clinic
4.Latest photos

As soon as you complete than you can go to imigration office for further process. If your kafeel ( employeer ) willing to do you will go together with him. if not you must used agent. You have to pay some amount of money, ranging from SR 300 to SR 500, unless is your due date expired you must pay more. This money use for "hadiah" or tips or just a gift to officer, Lazim the called or normal here in Saudi. You dont need to do finger print anymore caused when you enter the country finger print done at airport.

Sumantri - Travel experience article - Apartment where I stayed in Madinah

Madinah 7th August 2008. Apartment where I stay in Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It look tired and old that the first impression i found when the first time i enter this apartment. This over 20 years old building is just matter of the time to be demolished. There are 4 rooms available used of 1 living room with 42 inches TV and wireless connections, 2 sleeping room each with 2 beds and one room spare used as a store or will utilize when there is a guest. The Apartment is completed with kitchen equipment and washing machine is very convinience for me who really like cooking. This old building located at the premium location from Haram serounding with shooping mall and international hotel such oberoi etc it is in central strategyc area. I am no more longer stay there now, moved to the hotel share with my friend ahmad.
