Hantar-Hantaran is originally Malay tradition event thought I am Javanese and my wife is Chinese we still do this ceremony due to respect to the place where we live which is Brunei.
To decide to have this ceremony of course pre discussion being held earlier between my self and my wife family. In big ceremony normally attend about 30 to 50 people from both parents.
Ours only 14 people. Attend on the ceremony were my umi ( mother ) my brother Sukendar, my assistant Jaliha, Hjh Nadirah & husband and Asep both of the were my associates. And from my wife family of course which is James Chong, Jeffrey, brother and Jennifer ,sister and husband and both of us juts not recommend to join.

1. Selections of gifts item consist of Money, White gold, praying amenities, cloths, fruit, chocolate etc.

Lead by Hjh Iyoh Bin Hj Adas the motherÂ’s of the groom
7.15 PM – Hantar – hantaran ceremony begin – groom side
7.25 PM –Bride’s family Receive the gifts from groom’s family
7.30 PM – Hantar – hantaran ceremony begin from – bride side
7.40 PM –Groom’s family Receive the Gifts from the bride’s family.
7.50 PM – Dinner is served
9.30 PM – Courtesy talk among the family before departing the bride house
