I did created un countless Award & Reward since i started work with a hotel as well as for the community, namely Laundry & Dry cleaning Award, Miss Clean, The best attendant, The Most Productive trainer, the best productive trainees, The Highest Rooms incremental Revenue, Seafood receipt competition, National Ocean writing competition etc

SHERATON HONOURS HOUSEKEEPING AND LAUNDRY ASSOCIATES

BRUNEI, Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd March 2006 – Sheraton Utama Hotel recently honoured its Housekeeping and Laundry associates during the Rooms Division – Housekeeping and Laundry Awards presentation held at the Mutiara Ballroom.

The event was held to show recognition and appreciation to all the Housekeeping and Laundry associates who has contributed towards achieving high points on the Guest Satisfaction Index (GSI) and Starwood Cares programme.

Room Attendant, Helen Butui @ Hellen was voted as ‘Miss Clean 2005’ which is based on the highest score attained from guestrooms Quality Assurance (QA) inspection achieving a score of 94.73%. Housekeeping Supervisor, Hajah Nadhirah Ahmad received the ‘Most Productive Trainer 2005’ recognition, achieving the highest hours in conducting training last year with 186 hours and 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, Asep Matsum Mustafa, the hotel’s Public Area Attendant won two awards, the ‘Most Active Trainee 2005’ producing the highest hours in training attendance clocking 231 hours and 25 minutes and ‘Best Attendance 2005’ with no absence and sick leave for the whole year last year.

‘Miss Starwood 2005’ was bagged by Room Attendant, Norzainun Abdullah who received the highest achievement of Starwood Care recognition with four nominations in 2005.

Each winner received an award certificate of their recognition, a flower bouquet and a dining voucher for complimentary lunch buffet at the hotel’s Tasek Brasserie. The award was presented by General Manager, Datin Hajah Zainah Bujang and Executive Housekeeper, Mr. Sumantri Endang.

In her speech, Datin Zainah congratulated the winners saying that she was proud that the Housekeeping team has achieved the highest score of 98.98% of cleanliness according to Starwood’s LRA, the standard compliance inspection with the highest score in the South East Asia property.

The Rooms Division – Housekeeping and Laundry Award was initiated by Mr. Sumantri Endang, the hotel’s Executive Housekeeper. Present on the reception were members of the Executive Committees, Department Heads and the Housekeeping and Laundry associates who also received Starwood Cares recognition for ‘Outstanding Care for Guest and Business’ during the function.
